Not Much

I haven't posted in a while.
I've been busy...
But I can't exactly say what I was doing.
I can, however, account for today.
I drove to Naples & hot a quilt show.
It was a good show, I enjoyed it.
I even took a picture, but they asked it wasn't posted on the net.
I will oblige since I'm seriously considering joining the guild.
Could I be becoming a joiner?
No, not me. Powell, maybe where quilts are concerned.

After the show, I narrowly escaped running out of gas.
Then, I played cards with my sisters.
Patty leaves in the morning for Port Charlotte.
Poo!
No more cards.
No more shopping company.
Double Poo!

When I came home, I did this.
And attached it to some dots.
It's loaded onto Lolita
I had to piece the batting, too.
I was quite productive tonight if I do say so myself.
(Did I need a comma in that last sentence?)
I hope to quilt it tomorrow, bind it & send it to my Nugget.
I would love for her to be wrapped in one of my quilts to come home.

And, in case you were wondering, here's the latest pic of my Nugget.
She's hiding her beautiful face.
I wish they'd stop all these ultrasounds and let her be.
No, I don't.
I wouldn't be able to see her beautiful face.
I think she looks like John.
He wanted to stay in my belly indefinitely.
And once he came out, all he wanted was snuggles and sleep.
And food, lots of food.
I'm sure if we kept looking at him, he'd have hidden his eyes as well.
Anyhow, she'll be here very soon.

Inspiration

I've been doing a lot of cutting tiny pieces.
And pinning tiny pieces.
Ad nauseum.
Last night, I got a big dose of inspiration.
A head shot of my little Nugget.
Be still my heart.
She gets more perfect with each update.
She weighs 3lb 8oz already.
Little porker!
And the doctor told them that she's perfect.
I already knew that!

I am not even showing this to Murray.
He clearly is not on the same page as me.

Kindness!

Binding Quilts & Family Madness

Yesterday, I got my hairs did.
In the words of my crazy mom, this was a corporal work of mercy.
I feel much better now.

Today, it was very cold out.
I stayed in & got 3 quilts bound, which can only be done if you don't have to get dressed all day.
Full disclosure... I am still in my PJs & it is 5:30pm.
No sense dirtying any clothes at this late date.
Anyhoo, they are Christmas quilts.
Binding is torture for me.
Life would be infinitely better if one of my quilts magically bound itself every time I poured a glass of vino.
Clearly, God is not a quilter.

In other news, J&J had a sonogram of our little Nugget today.
John told me they saw her yawn!!!
Why are Maizee's not invited to obstetrician appointments?
Don't they know I'd love it?

I have decided I will make a churn dash quilt from my Houston purchases for her.
I think I need at least one more pink & one more neutral.
Guess I'll have to go shopping.
Or, I could probably find something in the stasheroo.
Stay tuned.

Some not so happy news...my FIL is supposed to come home from the hospital today.
This is very worrisome for us.
He is starting hospice care & my MIL is responsible for most of his care.
It's a struggle to get old people to be reasonable.
Please pray for them.

Florida 2013

Well, I had hoped to have a picture of my nephew with his 40th birthday quilt for this post.
Remember the blue and white one, that I over quilted?
I brought it with me...all bound and everything, which we all know is a miracle.
(Who do you think I'm referring to when I say 'we' since I have NO FOLLOWERS?)
I am clearly unstable...
Where was I?
Oh yeah...
Unfortunately, he was very busy at work and couldn't make it down to Port Charlotte while I was there.
Poo!
That's ok...I did have a great time.

I got to spend some alone time with my sister Patty.
Just the 2 of us, which was so lovely.
We're the sisters with kids, so we've not had that chance in a very long time.
I hope there will be much more of it in the future.

And I did some house hunting.
Nothing yet...stay tuned.

And the best part.....
2 days with....
The one and only....
Claire Ella.

And there were cupcakes...
Of course.

And the cutest of bathing beauties...

And Nana & Papa love...lots of it!

Edit....

And lookie what I just got in my inbox...a picture of my nephew Jim on the quilt.
Accompanied by her highness!
Awesome!
